Julianus Africanus

About

Hi, I'm Julian, 27 years of age, and I'm using a 6-month break from university to travel down the west side of Africa on my motorcycle, a trusty 2002 Yamaha TTR600.

My eMail address is: julian dot woeltjen at gmail dot com

My current phone number, for Namibia, is +264 816509786

The map updates are sent in via SMS with my GPS coordinates and a short message, which then gets displayed in a little bubble on the map.

Pictures of my trip are at http://picasaweb.google.com/julianusafricanus/

  5. Don’t worry guys, it was just a loose wire on my headlight. I’m alright. Pascal the mechanic took me back to his garage and fixed it.

@Mélanie: Thanks for the coffee. The bike’s running fine and I have not broken any French traffic laws since :)

  6. Hello!!!

African soil already!!!! You were in a hurry in France!!lol!! Oh btw you forgot a towel at my place..you might have noticed!
Anyway I hope everything is going well, that you won”t have trouble with any other policemen/women, but there are less traffic laws to break in the desert!!!! You should check what position it shows on google maps…I guess it’s not accurate, you’re saying you just landed in Marocco and want to head to Rabat, and the map says your in Tunisia!!!^^

    Anyway good luck!!!

    Bye

  7. oh I’m sorry this is not an accident but a failure! and the coffee is no big thing!good luck

I am Desmond, the guy you met in Ondangwa Namibia. Went into your website today saw the pics and details of your drip. Its so exciting. I dont think I would dare to take some of these risks alone. Rem what I said that day, put all this in a book. I will the first one to enjoy the adventure.
Tried your mobile in Namibia but not available.
    Good luck.

  20. That is an awesome journey and congratulations for getting there. Have been following you for the last month and enjoyed seeing the progress. We intend to travel to Sierra Leone in Dec. Have been interested to read your comments on SL and Guinea. Did you get your Guinea visa in Bamako? was it easy/expensive.
    Well done again

    Regards Andy
